Dear John,

Exciting news in our campaign to #FreeTheFresnoElephants!

We’ve put up five huge billboards across Fresno, California, encouraging anyone passing by them to join us in calling for freedom and sanctuary for Amahle, Nowalzi, and Vusmusi. One of these billboards is on the heavily trafficked SR-99 freeway, and another is by the entrance to the Fresno Chaffee Zoo, which this year was named one of the 10 Worst Zoos for Elephants in North America.

As we build on the important progress [[link removed]] we’ve made in New York and beyond and begin our nonhuman animal rights work on the West Coast, we’re confident that the more people who know that elephants suffer deeply in zoo exhibits–and know that a more just life is possible for elephants in a sanctuary–the more people we’ll have on our side.

The billboards will be up through August 21st. If you know anyone in California who cares about elephants, you can help by letting them know about our first California nonhuman animal rights campaign and sending them the link to freethefresnoelephants.com [[link removed]] , where they can learn more and join the fight.

Denied freedom, family, and everything that makes life worth living for an elephant, Amahle, Nowalzi, and Vusmusi [[link removed]] deserve to roam with peace and dignity in the vast, rich space of a sanctuary.

Thank you!
