John,

Maine Republicans aren’t the only ones trying to get the radical Paul LePage into office. National extremist allies are stepping up to influence this election by manipulating Maine voters and smearing Governor Mills.

Earlier this month, a national right wing group supporting LePage surveyed Maine voters under a fake name, attacking both Governor Mills and LGBTQ+ Mainers in the process. This might seem like just another bigoted attack, but the group used a fake name, misleading voters to think they were being contacted by a legitimate Maine news organization.

Maine is under attack — and our opponents are playing dirty. We’ve seen how far the GOP is willing to go to get Paul LePage in office. It’s up to us to stop them. Pitch in $5 towards our end-of-month goals now. [link removed]

Extremists around the country are working to elect LePage because they know they can count on him to enact the same dangerous agendas they’ve passed in places like Florida. Their culture wars are sweeping the states, and we can’t let Maine be next.

Maine is being targeted because Republicans think they can win here. But we know that Maine is a place for pragmatic progress, not the radical right. It’s time to defend our work so we can keep fighting.

Will you donate any amount you can to our end-of-month goals? The election is getting closer and we don’t know what national attacks or smear campaigns could be launched next. Help us fight back. [link removed]

Thank you,

Gaetan Davis
