For months, pundits have been predicting that Republicans will take back the Senate in the midterms.

It's easy to see their logic. Our 50-50 majority is as thin as it gets, so the GOP only needs to gain one Senate seat to take back the chamber. On top of that, midterm elections historically favor the party that's not in power.

But for the first time, Nate Silver's 538 says Democrats are favored to win the Senate! All of you who chip in after reading emails like this one have helped turn the tide back in Democrats' favor. Democrats are neck-and-neck with their extreme Republican opponents.

But there are still more than 3 months to go until Election Day, and Republicans will do whatever they can to claw the majority back from us. So we need to continue hitting our fundraising goals and keep up our momentum. Please rush any amount before our deadline Sunday night to win the Senate for Democrats.
