Over the next four weeks, this campaign will be in the throes of preparing for our re-election. We're kicking our GOTV efforts into high gear and getting ready to fight back against well-funded, GOP-backed candidates who are determined to stop our progressive vision from expanding.
Throughout it all, I will still be dedicating 100% of my time in Congress to fighting for the progressive policies we not only need, but deserve. Because that is what you all elected me to Congress to do.
We still have so much work to do, John.
From fighting to build up our inclusive, multi-racial, multi-class democracy, to calling out and holding politicians accountable for their actions or inactions. From going out in our communities to hear directly from constituents about their needs, to taking direct action in Congress with legislation like the full Build Back Better Agenda, and even facing arrest on the steps of the Capitol while protesting voting rights with community members.
But I'll be truthful with you, John: I know I can't win this on my own. It's clear that winning this race means we're going to need a groundswell of grassroots efforts to ensure that our progressive campaign can continue making change.
We have political powerhouses like Elizabeth Warren, AOC, and Bernie Sanders and transformational unions and organizations like the Working Families Party, NYS Nurses Association, and so many others on our side. But what we really need the most in this moment is you, your support, and your continued faith in our movement.
