The Washington Post reported this morning that my GOP opponent has been spreading blatant lies about the pro-choice policies Democrats are trying to advance after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. He also made an utterly offensive comparison between legalizing abortion and the Holocaust.

I'll let his words speak for themselves:

"The Nazis did this. They’ll take Jewish babies and just take the legs and just smash the babies and kill them. You think that can’t happen in this country?"

My opponent's words are insulting, and they show just how out of step he is with the people of Virginia's 10th District.

The far right is desperately pushing misinformation about abortion, because they know that the strong majority of voters favor letting women make their own medical decisions. And since the facts aren't on the far right's side, they've stooped to invoking some of the worst historical atrocities.

This type of rhetoric should have no place in our politics. I am determined to push back on it, and stop lies and extremism from prevailing in Northern Virginia. Now more than ever, my constituents need a leader who's committed to protecting their fundamental rights. It's clear that my opponent will not be that leader.
