John — I’ve always believed that if a candidate for office is going to ask for your support, then they owe you a real account of what they will do if they are elected.

In two days, we’ve got our End of Month fundraising deadline, and I would be honored to have your help to make sure we hit our goal. But I also want to be straightforward about where I stand and why I’m asking for your support. So, to that end, here are five reasons I’m asking for your help in our campaign today:

1) I’m fighting to save money for Colorado families through every tool we’ve got — including by reducing property taxes, eliminating a tax on seniors’ Social Security benefits, and sending $750 rebates to all Colorado taxpayers this summer

2) We made record investments in education, increasing teacher pay and lowering class sizes. We brought free, full-day Kindergarten — and soon, universal Pre-K — to Colorado, to invest in our kids and save parents money.

3) I understand that climate change is an existential threat to our future — and that’s why we’ve taken bold action to reduce toxic pollution in our air and water, increase renewable energy, and protect our way of life.

4) I will protect your right to choose, your right to marry who you love, and your ability to cast a ballot safely and securely by mail.

5) My opponent has declared herself the “MAGA candidate” in this race. I’m not beholden to any special interests or political ideology — and I’ll put Colorado first every time.
