Friend,
As we inch closer to the election season, I can't help but notice the Republicans have toned down their rhetoric about an all-out sweep in the November midterm.
The high gas prices they cheered for have dropped, and while Democrats move forward with legislation to reduce inflation and invest in American manufacturing, the GOP strategy is to obstruct, root for economic failure, and point fingers.
I think the American people are seeing through the nonsense. I can tell you from conversations I'm having in the Quad Cities that folks are actually
horrified by the true colors being shown by the GOP these past few weeks.
Today’s GOP is a party obsessed with imposing right-wing cultural views on the American people -- and you can count my opponent Esther King among them. She's hellbent on ending women's reproductive autonomy, and still praises the Supreme Court’s decision overruling Roe v. Wade.
I'm not exaggerating or sensationalizing here, friend, because they’re not exactly hiding their intentions. Working families are struggling. Climate change is putting the environment at risk. Health care affordability is still a major challenge. And the GOP's response is to wage a backward culture war.
My race is emerging as ground zero in the Republicans fight to take control of Congress, and they’re literally investing millions to beat me. Since I’m counting on grassroots donors, I’ll need your support to win this race. Please chip in $5 today to help us keep IL-17 blue.
