Hi friend,

You’ve probably been following the Supreme Court’s reign of terror this summer, from allowing states to criminalize abortion to prohibiting other states from enacting gun control, to hamstringing the EPA’s ability to do its job.

To solve the climate crisis and protect our most vulnerable communities, we can’t rely on the Supreme Court. It’s up to states to lead the way, and we’re making 2022 the year for bold climate action in California.

Friend, if there’s anything we’ve learned from the Supreme Court, it’s that money speaks. So that’s why we’re asking you to make a small contribution today:

Here are just a few things your donation would help fund, friend:

Our efforts to pass more climate legislation in Sacramento: SB 54, the most significant bill addressing plastic pollution policy just became law in California. And we’ve got dozens more bills on our to-do list, including our sponsored bill, the Climate Corporate Accountability Act.

Our efforts to hold leaders accountable up and down the state: We didn’t just release our Environmental Scorecard giving California a “D” for climate action in 2021 and leave it at that. We’re putting climate delayers in the Legislature on blast and making sure the California Air Resources Board lives up to its promise with the Scoping Plan and Advanced Clean Cars II Rule.

Our organizing efforts for the November election: We’re on a Path to 62 to gain climate majorities in the State Senate and Assembly for more bold leadership and climate action next year, in addition to protecting the Democrats’ majority in the U.S. House. We’re building support on the ground in targeted communities to make sure their voices will be heard in Sacramento and Washington, and we’re leading the charge to pass Prop 30 (the Clean Air Initiative), the only climate initiative this year on the ballot statewide.

EnviroVoters is making sure California reclaims its spot as the global leader on climate action. Can you help us get there?

Thank you, as always, for your support.
