Hi there — I have a few free minutes in my schedule today, so I wanted to send you a quick update on what I’ve been working on in the Senate.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve been working hard to build filibuster-proof support to pass my bill, the Respect for Marriage Act — legislation that would protect the right to same-sex and interracial marriage by federal law.
I’ve been talking with several of my Republican colleagues about the importance of this legislation, especially following the Supreme Court’s attack on reproductive rights last month, and personally asking for their support to protect the progress we fought so hard for.
On top of that, I’ve been working to pass my DISCLOSE Act to shine a light on dark money in our elections. And just this week, I was proud to vote to pass legislation to increase semiconductor production in the U.S. and bring good-paying manufacturing jobs to Wisconsin.
As you can imagine, my work this month has left me with very little time to fundraise and now, we’re behind our end-of-month fundraising goal. The good news is, I have always been able to depend on supporters like you to get us back on track. That is why I am counting on you again today.
Will you make a donation ahead of our end-of-month deadline this Sunday? Your contribution will support our work to protect our Democratic majorities so we can keep fighting for progress — and it would keep me focused on doing my job in the Senate.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Your support has made all the difference time and again, friend.
All my best,
Tammy
