The last few weeks have given us much to celebrate with a Supreme Court term that upheld religious liberty and overturned Roe v. Wade, once again allowing states and Congress to pass laws that uphold the sanctity of human life.

These legal victories would not have been possible if Christians in their local communities and across the nation hadn't dared to stand for biblical truth.

Thanks to high school football coach, Joe Kennedy, the right of individuals to express their faith and pray in public is protected. And thanks to believers who have stood for life for nearly 50 years, the Supreme Court overturned the atrocious Roe v. Wade decision of 1973.

Since abortion was legalized in 1973, Christians in the pro-life movement have prayed, marched, voted, and stood unapologetically for unborn life, knowing that all human beings, including the unborn, are created in the image of God.

Although this is indeed a monumental victory, the fight to protect unborn life is far from over. We must redouble our support for mothers and fathers in need especially by supporting the great work of pregnancy resource centers. We must elect pro-life leaders to every level of government from the school board to the White House. And we must pray for the day when people won't be voting on whether a person has the right to life, or that an unborn child's life is dependent upon state lines.

At Family Research Council, we have dared to stand for faith, family, and freedom since our inception in 1983.
