Washington, D.C. – After speaking with thousands of North Texans and hundreds of businesses this year, there were two problems I heard over and over. Hard working Americans are looking to make a change to a better career but often don’t know the best first step, and business owners are looking to hire skilled full time career positions at companies all over North Texas. After hearing this, I decided to launch tx24works.com, a website that will provide a one-stop shop with links and information on workforce opportunities in North Texas. Learn more here.

During this week's House Small Business Committee meeting, I highlighted Democrats' denial of the recession. You can watch my full remarks and questioning here.
It was an honor to celebrate Chairman Kevin Brady – who will go down as one of the best Ways and Means Committee Chairmen our nation has ever seen – at the unveiling of his portrait. Congratulations, Chairman Brady, for always being an example for others to follow.
I was glad to receive the National Retail Federation's "Champion of Main Street" Award. I will continue to serve the small businesses and retailers who make Texas-24 special.
This week, I joined my Republican colleagues on a letter to President Biden urging him to reconsider a ban on oil exports as it would reward Russia and drive up already high gas prices. You can read about our letter here.
