I have an important race here in Ohio that I need you to be aware of, John.
State Representative Jeff Crossman is running for Ohio Attorney General against current AG Dave Yost. Here’s why this race requires your attention:
1. As soon as the Supreme Court struck down Roe, Yost immediately imposed Ohio’s six-week abortion ban without any exceptions for rape or incest, despite a majority of Ohioans’ opposition.
2. When national stories detailed the horrific impact the ban had on rape victims, like a 10-year-old Ohioan girl forced to leave the state to receive abortion care, Yost lied and said the story wasn't true instead of seeking justice for this child victim.
It’s clear AG Yost doesn’t have the integrity or the grit to stand up for the people of Ohio. While Yost is busy attacking rape survivors, I know we Democrats are ready to defeat him at the ballot box this November so we can elect a true champion for the people in Jeff Crossman.

Dave Yost has done unimaginable damage to that 10-year-old girl, and she’s not the only one. Medical professionals and policy experts warned this would happen. Not only did Yost turn a blind eye, but his actions have silenced the voices of victims across the state who now see our government won’t stand up for them.
Rep. Crossman and his team are already hard at work crafting policies to protect abortion rights and access to care under Ohio’s restrictive six-week abortion ban, preserve patient/doctor confidentiality, and support efforts to add a reproductive healthcare amendment to Ohio’s constitution. We need his leadership now more than ever.
