John,

The Associated Press reported this week, “With inflation at a four-decade high ([link removed]) , the job market strong ([link removed]) and consumers still spending ([link removed]) , the Federal Reserve is under pressure to continue raising interest rates aggressively.

“When it ends its latest policy meeting Wednesday afternoon, the Fed is expected to impose a second consecutive three-quarter-point hike in its benchmark interest rate, raising it to a range of 2.25% to 2.5%. It will be the Fed’s fourth rate hike since March. Since then, the central bank has tightened credit ever more aggressively.”

This is more bad news for Americans. No matter how Democrats try to spin what’s happening, we all know the truth. Under the policies of Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and Sean Casten our families are spending more to get less. Lies, excuses and spin won't fill gas tanks or pay utility bills. It's time for a change in direction.

Our lawmakers should be focused on protecting American energy production and reserves to reduce the pain on our pocketbooks. I’m going to DC because Americans need legislators who are interested in protecting them, rather than advancing extreme ideology at our expense.

As Mayor of Orland Park, I have fought to protect families and businesses from political ideologues, like Sean Casten. I am going to Congress to do the same. And I am so grateful to have your support in that effort. The fight over the next 3.5 months won’t be easy, but it is one worth having! I look forward to seeing you on the campaign trail soon!

Thank you,

Keith Pekau

KEITH ON NEWSMAX

Keith recently joined National Report on Newsmax to talk about rising inflation and rising crime rates.

From the interview: "This seems to be the standard Democrat playbook: if we don't like the way things are tracked, then they change the rules. Look at how they've changed the way inflation is tracked. We don't include gasoline or food prices, which is what hits people in the pocketbook the most.

If you included those things, we'd have inflation at 17 or 18 percent right now. So at the end of the day, everyone on this call, as well as everyone that's watching knows what is happening in America, knows that we're facing a recession and that we've been seeing inflation that - essentially, at the rate it's at - takes one month of your pay."

Press Release: Pekau Responds to Casten’s
Vote Against U.S. Border Patrol
[link removed]

From the release: Sean Casten (IL-06) was among a handful of congressmen on the extreme Left who voted to block consideration of legislation commending U.S. Border Patrol agents who work hard to protect our border and secure our nation. They also voted to prevent floor debate of a resolution that calls on the Biden Administration to end the crisis at our southern border…

“As mayor, I’ve supported law enforcement at every decision point.. It’s simple: Support for law enforcement means safer streets for everyone. But Sean Casten protects those who break the law over those who enforce it. And he has put all of us at risk.”

South Cook News: Pekau: 'We must push back in November, or this is only going to get worse'

From the article: "Please continue to pray for Officer Golden's healing and for strength for his family," Pekau wrote in a Facebook post ([link removed]) on Tuesday. "Let's never forget this sacrifice, and the sacrifices made by all our men and women who choose to protect and serve everyday. Support the police. Cook County has voted overwhelmingly for far-Left prosecutors and judges who put the safety of our communities at risk. We must push back in November, or this is only going to get worse."

** Who Do They Think They’re Kidding?
------------------------------------------------------------

This week, Brian Deese, Director of the National Economic Council, told reporters, ([link removed]) "Two negative quarters of GDP growth is not the technical definition of recession. It's not the definition that economists have traditionally relied on."
From Keith: ([link removed]) "These aren’t the droids you're looking for..." Had enough of the Democrats' insulting attempts at Jedi mind tricks? You know the truth: you are paying more for less. Join me to flip the 6th and take back the US House in November.

** Opioid Overdoses Spike in Cook County
------------------------------------------------------------

**
------------------------------------------------------------

** From Keith ([link removed]) : Opioid overdoses in Cook County have spiked over the last few years. From 2018 to 2020, there were 4,283 opioid-related deaths in Cook County with nearly 82 percent of those deaths from June 6 through December 23, 2020 showing the presence of fentanyl in their systems. In 2021, opioid-related deaths surpassed 1,900 cases, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

In Orland Park, our police department has been doing their part to curb this epidemic. We have seen drug-related arrests increase 25% over the past 5 years and implemented the Mobile Response Unit. Real leaders don’t stand by while crime is on the rise and our kids are at risk. I took it on as Mayor. I am going to Congress to do the same.

Get Involved

Politicians in Washington, DC like Sean Casten, and Nancy Pelosi have put special interests, party politics, and extreme agendas ahead of doing what’s best for the people they’re supposed to represent.

Keith Pekau is the common sense, local leader we need in Washington to take on the extreme politicians. His record of results stands in stark contrast to the failed, divisive politics and rigid ideology of Sean Casten.
Whether you choose to contribute, knock on doors, or host a yard sign on your front lawn, every little bit counts and helps my campaign inch closer to victory.
