Dear Friend:

A few months ago, Hillary, Chelsea, and I called the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) community back together for our first major gathering since 2016.

Our ask is simple: take action together on the most pressing threats we face today – the health and economic inequities exposed and exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, the existential threat of climate change, and the growing refugee crisis.

This September, as the world’s leaders converge on New York City for the United Nations General Assembly, we’ll again bring the CGI community together. Today, I wanted to share more details about what to expect at our meeting, including our agenda and this year’s theme: “The Business of How.”

This year’s meeting is focused not only on the most important challenges we face but more critically on how all of us can take action. We’ll shine a light on proven solutions already underway in communities around the globe, and identify ways to expand upon our impact. And there will be opportunities throughout the meeting to connect and learn with and from one another.

I hope you’ll take a look at the details for this year’s meeting, and join us in September.

As I’ve said before – while the challenges our world faces today are steep, CGI has always been about what we can do, not what we can’t do. And by bringing diverse partners together to take action and achieve real results, we can create a culture of possibility in a world hungry for hope.

You’re a vital part of that future. See you in September,

President Clinton
