John:
CPI — or more affectionately known by the Leftwing media as the “Insurrectionist’s Clubhouse,” “A Soapbox for the Far Right,” and a “Hub for the Big Lie in Exile” — has been number one in the hearts of many mainstream media outlets lately. Why? The Left has taken notice of CPI’s growing influence, and they want to stop it. What the Left fails to understand, however, is that these attempts to smear and destroy our efforts are really backhanded praise.
Check out these hit pieces from the last few months: ⬇️
In an article titled, “
A radical plan for Trump’s second term,” Axios praised CPI as an advocacy group that has “effectively become extensions of the Trump infrastructure” and an “important hub of 2025 preparations” within the “America First movement.”
According to NPR, CPI is “
The most powerful messaging force in the MAGA universe” and also serves as a “one-stop shopping place for all your MAGA needs.” In that same 35-minute segment, journalist Maggie Severns noted that “one thing that CPI got me thinking about is how … this movement could really be here to stay.”
“
Lawyer Who Plotted to Overturn Trump Loss Recruits Election Deniers to Watch Over the Vote,” by The New York Times highlighted CPI as a “right-wing think tank with close ties and financial backing from Mr. Trump’s political operation.”
It’s our honor to be “home to a slew of former MAGA world names,” as Joy Reid described CPI on an episode of “The Reidout,” titled, “
The insurrectionists’ clubhouse: Little-known hub reportedly hosts MAGA allies, Jan. 6 suspects.” In this same episode, Grid News Reporter Maggie Severns sang our praises, labeling CPI as a hub where different organizations and members of Congress unite and speak as a “chorus coming from one place.”
The New York Magazine wrote an article titled, “
Trump’s Insurrection Builds Professionalized Institutions,” branding CPI as a “right-wing think tank with close ties and financial backing from Mr. Trump’s political operation.”
“
Jan. 6 committee hearings: Four takeaways from second day of hearings” by CBS News recognized CPI’s ties to Trump adding, “the former president’s political action committee then donated ‘millions’ to entities and vendors with ties to Trump: $1 million to the Conservative Partnership Institute…”
Slate wrote an article titled, “
A Trump Ally is Building a Right-Wing Army of Poll Watchers,” highlighting Election Integrity Network’s Cleta Mitchell as a “Republican lawyer connected to Donald Trump” with a mission to “Stop the Steal” and identified her as having a “very prominent position in elections.”
CNN recognized Election Integrity Network’s Cleta Mitchell as the leader of an “anti-voter fraud advocacy group under the Conservative Partnership Institute” in an article titled, “
Inside the push that landed a Trump legal adviser on a federal election advisory board.”
In an article by The New Yorker titled “
The Big Money Behind the Big Lie,” Election Integrity Network’s Cleta Mitchell with the Election Integrity Network was described as “an animating force behind the Bradley Foundation’s war on ‘election fraud,’” and a “fiercely partisan Republican election lawyer.”
“
Inside the Trump-backed effort to take ‘control’ of elections ahead of 2022 and 2024,” by ABC News labeled CPI as a “right-wing nonprofit organization that is spearheaded by Trump’s former chief of staff, Mark Meadows, who is a senior partner, and Mitchell, who serves as a senior fellow.”
Election Integrity Network’s Cleta Mitchell took center stage in an article by The New Republic titled, “
This Former Trump Lawyer Wants You to Disrupt the 2022 Midterms.” The article labeled CPI a “hub,” highlighting some of our outreach and collaboration efforts, including “internships for young conservatives, and [working] with other right-wing groups to push conservative goals.”
It’s clear our efforts are getting noticed – thanks to you. And the Left’s tactics to smear and destroy our movement are not working. At CPI, we’re serious about standing up for American principles – and we will continue to build our movement to take ground and win.
Sincerely,
