John –

You don’t have to look hard at our justice system in Hennepin County to see that the status quo is failing us. Too many families don’t feel safe in their neighborhoods, and too much of our community distrusts the justice system. Prosecutors are overworked and police departments are struggling to find good officers.

We can’t continue this way. Our families and our communities deserve better.

That’s why I’m running.

We must create a public safety system that works for all of us, and that starts with new leadership. Most of my opponents have spent decades working in this system, and they know it well. The problem is that they want to protect what they know.

I’m ready to deliver the change we need in the County Attorney’s office, and ready to bring together the people and resources to make it happen. This is what I have done over and over again at the legislature and it’s what I will do for our county.
