The George Washington Initiative is intent on locating, outpacing, and eliminating dis- and misinformation (DisMis) to allow for the legislative branch to act and safeguard our democracy.

This summer, we have located DisMis on nearly every issue most pressing to us: elections, January 6th, climate change, mass shootings, and abortion, just to name a few. But DisMis is not on a downward trend.

As bad faith actors blur the line between fact and fiction, our mission is to shine the light on truth.
