The New York Daily News recently reported that "If Americans aren’t following [Moore v. Harper, the case that could give gerrymandered state legislatures near-total control over federal elections] and worried about the [2024 election] outcome, they should be."
We agree that Americans should be worried – especially now that Trump Attorney General Bill Barr, in partnership with Karl Rove, has launched a legal organization to promote the fringe idea that state legislatures should control elections.
But we’re not panicking. Because we have a solid plan to help elect Democrats to state-level offices where they will serve as a last line of defense against the Republican sabotage of our democracy.
