Team -- In a moment, I’m going to ask you for a $3 contribution to my Democratic campaign for Congress so we can win our primary election on Tuesday and stop Republicans from winning this key district, but first I hope you’ll give me the chance to tell you something personal:
I’m gay.
So when Republican lawmakers attempt to attack my community’s dignity, existence, and rights – I fight back.
Recently, Arizona Republicans have been pushing a “Don’t Say Gay” bill that would prohibit mention of the LGBTQ community in schools. Similar bills have popped up all over the country attacking lesbian, gay, and trans people – and often targeted towards children.
I’m furious and upset with the extremist Republicans that time and time again attack marginalized communities and young people to score cheap political points with the MAGA crowd.
That’s why I’m running for Congress to fight back against homophobia, transphobia, and all forms of discrimination in our nation’s Capitol.
But I’m running in the most competitive district in the country and I need your help:
Team, I’m humbly asking you to join my fight for equality and progress by chipping in $3 now. My campaign needs to bring in $1,834 today to win our Tuesday election. »
