John,
We’re coming up on the end of July, and that means we’re more than halfway through the hottest days of summer. But we’re headed into a long and hot August.
It’s easy to get complacent in these late summer days. It’s easy to put off the hard work until the kids go back to school, or until the weather cools down in September. But now is the time when we need to make our move.
In addition to expanding our majority in the House, we have to win two more Senate seats so we can finally overcome the racist filibuster that has prevented us from enacting protections for Americans’ voting rights and reproductive rights.
But we’ll only do it if we elect more Democrats. We need majorities so large that there will be no question as to whether we have the votes to defeat the filibuster or codify reproductive rights or reform the Supreme Court.
This month, we saw record-breaking heat all around the world. The party who wants to ignore climate change is trying to buy your vote. But climate change won’t be ignored. It must be addressed.
Thank you for your support. And thank you for staying engaged as we push through the hardest part of the election cycle.
