1. You should have heard about the horrendous Nancy Pelosi supported, radical LGBT “Equality Act” which is a direct attack on people of faith. Last week, a Republican member of the U.S. House introduced a so called “compromise” bill called the “Fairness for All” Act. This “compromise” is dangerous and will erase many of the religious freedom gains we have worked so hard for in Texas. The Fairness for All Act (H.R. 5331) still contains “sexual orientation and gender identity” (SOGI) language and elevates it into a protected class. By doing so, SOGI laws effectively impose one point of view of sexuality on all other Americans. Not adhering to LGBT orthodoxy becomes wrong and, in many circumstances, unlawful. Americans who believe in biological differences between males and females or who hold Biblical beliefs about marriage and sexuality are subject to persecution and punishment under this law. Sound familiar? Many of these same items were included in the #BanTheBible Bills before the Texas Legislature last session. Thanks to your hard work, we were able to defeat those bills, and we need to do it again at the national level!

2. Texas Values is urging all healthcare professionals and school teachers to join us in standing for children and sign up to be on a workgroup with the State Board of Education. The Texas State Board of Education needs more healthcare professionals and educators to be on the workgroups which are currently reviewing the Texas Essentials Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Health Education.
The TEKS for Health Education include sex education and leftist groups like Planned Parenthood and Texas Freedom Network have already begun urging their supporters to overwhelm the workgroups and promote radical sex-ed which indoctrinates children in the LGBT lifestyle, gender identity politics, and abortion.
