This is personal for me, John — my first election made history as I became the first openly queer, Black woman elected in Florida at any level.

That’s why I’m humbled to announce this endorsement:

As a queer Black woman, I understand firsthand the destructive toll of anti-gay discrimination and hate. I’m in this fight not just to make history as a Black queer woman, but to make a difference for the people of Florida.
