John: In the immortal words of President John F. Kennedy, we as Americans choose to do things “not because they are easy, but because they are hard.”

It’s going to take some hard work to defend our battleground district while holding national Republicans accountable for their assault on our democracy.

But there’s something easy you can do to help right now: contributing to our battleground campaign (it takes less than a minute).

All kidding aside: I was elected to Congress to do one job: defend this nation from its enemies, foreign and domestic. Not to do and say what’s politically convenient or popular.

That’s proven harder than I could’ve imagined at times. But if we get complacent and let Republicans retake the House, it’s going to get much, much harder.
