Hi
John,
If these past few weeks have taught us anything, it’s that our climate is rapidly changing and causing damage to our communities. From the intense heatwave to the flood-inducing downpours, our city and state are not equipped to handle our changing climate.
District 34’s location puts us at a higher risk for climate-related damage, which will cost all of us both money and security. Our homes are being damaged by floods and with heat waves of 90º + spanning weeks, our energy costs and usage will continue to increase.
Our community must have a leader that aggressively tackles the climate crisis and puts those of us most vulnerable at the forefront of policy decisions. As a lifelong member of this community, I have developed my Climate Leadership Plan that will put our resources where we need them to build up our resilience against climate change and hold polluters accountable for their actions.
