John — Our end-of-month deadline is in 3 days, and we’ve set an ambitious goal. So I wanted to personally explain why this race and your support are so important.

Nonpartisan analysts have said this will be one of the most competitive and most expensive races in the entire country. That’s because Senate Republicans know they have no path to the majority without North Carolina.

Winning this race means we expand the majority. It means I can cast the decisive 51st vote on voting rights, abortion rights, climate action and more. This is the kind of progress McConnell and his allies are desperate to stop, and the strength of our grassroots campaign has them extremely worried.

The truth is Republican super PACs thought over $6 million on false attack ads could quickly take us down. But it didn’t work. We are fighting back hard, and poll after poll continues to show us in a statistical tie.

But we cannot let up. It’s tough, but we have to pick up our fundraising pace to make sure they cannot drown us out. I wish I didn’t have to ask, but I know that making the kind of progress our families deserve — building a future where each and every one of us can thrive — is worth it.
