Central bankers are giving themselves bonuses while the price you pay for groceries and gas keeps going up.
------------------------------------------------------------
Dear John,
Central bankers are giving themselves bonuses while the price you pay for groceries and gas keeps going up.
You know people shouldn’t get bonuses for doing a bad job. And you need to make sure the Bank of Canada doesn’t keep giving itself bonuses while you get more inflation.
The Bank of Canada has one job: keep inflation around two per cent.
Anyone not living under a rock knows the Bank of Canada failed to do its job.
But the Bank of Canada still gave its employees $45 million in bonuses and pay raises during the pandemic, according to exclusive documents dug up by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.
At best the central bank failed to keep a lid on rising prices. At worst, it drove inflation by printing more than $300 billion out of thin air during the pandemic. The more dollars the Bank of Canada prints, the less your dollars in your bank account can buy.
You need to show politicians that there’s an army of taxpayers demanding action to ease inflation by pushing the feds to stop printing money, rein in the massive deficits and cut taxes.
You can stand with thousands of other Canadians and demand real action on inflation by signing this online PETITION: [link removed] ([link removed])

Thanks for fighting for taxpayers – it’s making a difference!
Sincerely,
* Franco, Shannon, Todd and the rest of the CTF team.
