Hey there, Friend!
It’s Tim Scott.
I love to talk about the beauty of opportunity and the American Dream. Especially because of the role it played in my story and the story of my family.
I grew up in a single-parent household in North Charleston, South Carolina, and for most of my young life, I experienced the difficulties of poverty. We lived with my grandparents in a very small home. But my mother taught my brother and me that education is the closest thing to magic, and if we worked hard, one day, our hard work would pay off.
But it wasn’t just the American Dream that made my story possible, Friend!
As a young man, I had mentors in business who gave me the opportunity to learn about the value of hard work.
These mentors taught me how to work hard. Not for myself, but for the good of others. They taught me that having a job was good, but creating jobs was great. Because of their guidance and leadership, I have become the public servant I am today.
There were so many mentors, teachers, and even friends who stood beside me on this journey. And it is in honor of their kindness that I give my best in the Senate every day!
Friend, I've done nothing on my own up to this point, and that will not change.
It’s why I need YOU.
Like I always say, there are no self-made people!
Together, we can save the American Dream. It's a major responsibility, and I invite you to link arms with us, lean in, and make this happen!

Thank you for being part of the team. We will take back the Senate this November if we work together.
Thank you,
Tim Scott
