My brother-in-law was killed by South Bend police in 1999.
Sadly, in 2019, black men are still getting killed here in South
Bend.

The tragic loss of Eric Logan and too many others like him is
the reason that I joined Our Revolution to host an ORGANIZE TO
WIN 2020 kickoff here to expose the gap between Mayor Pete's
rhetoric and his failure to fight for black families like mine.

Donate here to help Our Revolution cut through the corporate
media propaganda and expose how Mayor Pete is failing to stand up
for working Americans of all backgrounds:

Pete Buttigieg talks a good game about police accountability
when he's on the campaign trail. One of his favorite stories is
about how he was caught holding a joint in college, and let off
with a warning. He rightly points out that this incident is an
example of white privilege.

But here in South Bend, black residents have been far more
likely than white residents to be arrested for marijuana offenses
since he became mayor in 2012. And that disparity is worse here
than the rest of Indiana -- or the rest of the country.

When it comes to holding the police accountable, Mayor Pete
isn't a man of action.

Mayor Pete's record of failing black families needs to be
exposed to Democratic voters nationwide, but the corporate media
isn't going to do it -- that means it's up to us. Donate to Our
Revolution now to help us continue organizing locally so we can
win nationally!

Pete made a lot of promises, but we're still waiting for him to
follow through.

We're still waiting for our citizen review board.

We're still waiting for anti-bias testing and updated bias
training.

We're still waiting for accountability.

But here's the thing: we're not sitting around and waiting,
we're organizing our community to take action.

In 2020, we will elect candidates who will make real change.
Candidates who will ensure that black people in South Bend and
across the country no longer have to live in fear. Rush a
donation now so we can ORGANIZE TO WIN 2020!
