| | | Dear John, While we continued to grapple with the overturning of Roe v. Wade, we began July by recognizing the 58th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act - the first legislation to recognize and uphold humanity for those who had been denied fundamental civil and labor rights since the founding of our nation. It was a timely reminder of how far our country has come and how much farther we must go. Every day grassroots leaders and partners show us exactly how we will achieve freedom for all. Across the country we've seen protests, advocacy, collaboration, funds distributed, and practical support provided - doing whatever it takes to ensure that all people have access to abortion and the care they need. It’s nearly impossible to not be inspired and filled with hope, and we're so grateful that you're in the fight with us. We will win. In solidarity, Ruth McFarlane Chief Advancement Officer |

| Ms. in the News Inside Philanthropy highlighted the Ms. Foundation as one of “three key intermediaries ready to move resources for reproductive justice.” In the story, Ms. is described as follows: “Recognizing years ago that this was and would be a critical time for protecting reproductive rights and health in the United States, they increased the number of grantees, made the South a focus area, and created a 501(c)(4) entity to support grassroots legislative action and local policy reform, among other prongs of the plan.” Read the story here. President & CEO Teresa Younger also interviewed with SiriusXM’s The Lurie Daniel Favors Show and The John Fugelsang Show, and spoke with Q104.3 New York’s host Shelli Sonstein about reproductive justice, emphasizing: "To those who believe in justice and democracy and human rights: We must speak up, we must not get tired. We must continue this fight for the long haul.” Watch the full interview here. |
