Folks – I have some exciting news: The America COMPETES Act of 2022 is about to pass the House and be sent to President Biden’s desk.

For the entire time I've been in Congress, I’ve been working to achieve the dream of doubling scientific research funding and solving our Semiconductor Chips shortage. I’ve been working across the aisle on the COMPETES Act Conference Committee to iron out our differences and pass this bipartisan innovation bill.

Now, after three months of hard work and negotiations, this landmark bill is about to become law.

The COMPETES Act will surge production of American-made semiconductors, tackle supply chain vulnerabilities, and strengthen America’s economic and national security. And that’s not all!

This bill is going to make a big impact across Michigan by spurring innovation and creating good-paying jobs. I’m so proud to help create this legislation that will invest in America’s most valuable resource: the talent of its people.
