This week Denise Octavia Smith MBA, BS, CHW, PN, SFC, Vaccine Equity Cooperative founding member and executive director of the National Association of Community Health Workers, spoke at the White House Summit on the Future of COVID-19 Vaccines on advancing vaccine equity. She advocated for a hyper-local, community-driven approach that prioritizes, includes and pays the community-based workforces and organizations doing the work on the ground. This equity-driven approach over the past two years has been integral in keeping our most vulnerable communities prepared.
