Immigrants who became U.S. citizens will be a critical voting bloc in this year’s elections in swing states like Arizona, Florida, and Georgia — that could determine which party controls the majorities in Congress.
Newly naturalized citizens are typically less likely to register and turn out to vote than U.S.-born citizens — but United We Dream Action is putting in the work to change that trend.

Here’s how our immigrant youth-led organization is making an impact:

We’re training: Holding in-person and virtual trainings for staff and volunteers across the country to equip them with the knowledge and skills to engage in voting this year and beyond.

We’re building partnerships: Highlighting the intersections between issues and engaging our members through joint trainings.

We’re contacting voters: Engaging in phone and text banking to identify the young voters and voters of color whom we can welcome into our membership.

We’re fighting disinformation: Creating culturally relevant digital content across multiple online channels to inoculate our members against disinformation and deliver accurate voting information to voters.
Young people are unafraid to take control and lead our country forward. It’s our job to help ensure they have the resources to cut through right-wing disinformation and cast their votes.
