157 House Republicans voted against a bill to protect marriage equality.

Team,

Last week, 157 House Republicans voted against a bill to protect marriage equality.

Following the ruling on Roe, Justice Clarence Thomas openly stated the court should reconsider its previous ruling on same-sex marriage – and since then, Republicans have accelerated their attacks on the LGBTQ community.

If Republicans take back the House, they will roll back civil rights for LGBTQ Americans. We need to keep Congress in Democratic control to stop a rollback of our most fundamental rights. Rush $5 or more immediately to help us defend NewDem incumbents who will hold the line on our Democratic Majority in Congress this November.

Every NewDem voted to codify marriage rights for LGBTQ Americans – standing with 70% of Americans who support this fundamental right.

In 2022, it is unacceptable that Republicans are still debating whether some marriages are more valid under the law than others.

It’s never been more clear, team: Our rights are on the line in the midterm elections. We cannot risk letting the House fall into Republican control.  Please rush $5 or more to defend our Democratic Majority and stop the GOP’s extremist agenda from becoming law.

Thank you,

Team NewDems
