Dear Friend,

We are delighted to inform you that we are once again participating in Gannett Foundation’s A Community Thrives Challenge! If we raise our goal of $6,000 we will become eligible for a grant in support of Rian’s programs and the immigrant community. Can we count on you to help us meet our goal?

Why support Rian?Rian focuses on community-building through program integration and partnerships with local community organizations. Our integrated programs approach works towards providing a holistic support structure for immigrants. When immigrants have a strong support system, they are better equipped to achieve stability and a sense of belonging in their new home. When immigrants we serve enjoy increased access to educational and professional opportunities, they also find community.

But don’t take our word for it! Rode, an immigrant from Haiti, recently received her green card and will soon be able to both reconnect with her roots and expand her network in the U.S. Here’s what she shared with her attorney after seeing her green card application through to completion:

"When I saw your email this morning, I left work early to get home and check my mailbox. I found [my green card]! I’m so happy to see it and I feel relieved; I’ll be able to go to school to achieve my goals and also I will be able to see my family back home after 10 years."

What can you do? To help us become eligible for a grant, please donate through the link below. Every dollar counts! We have until August 12th to raise $6,000, the clock is ticking! Donate today and spread the word!
