Hi John,
It's Trudy again. I know you've gotten a lot of emails from my team and me over the last couple of days. But please, could you take just a moment to read this one? It is important.
You see, it wasn't an easy choice for me, deciding to run for Senate. During this season of my life, I thought I would be giving back to my community through volunteer work and spending time with my loving husband, our kids, and our beautiful grandchildren. Running for office was never what I had planned.
But John, our country is headed in the wrong direction. Division and extremism are pulling us apart at the seams. And while it's tempting to tune all of that out, I know that this work demands all of us. You see, the things happening in Washington will affect every state, every community, and every family.
I knew that I had to do something.
So just as I stepped up to serve my state as a children's advocate, my community as a nurse, and my family as a widowed mom, I stepped up again.
And let me tell you, John, this campaign has been an unbelievably rewarding and inspiring experience. I've met countless voters and had the unique privilege of listening to their stories, their ideas, and their hopes for the future.
We've built an incredible grassroots team of people all across Missouri who are fired up and ready for the change we know is possible. I know that this team has what it takes to win, but now, we need to prove it to the talking heads, the naysayers, and our opponents.
There's so much on the line this November. So please, can I count on your $5 grassroots donation before 11:59 p.m. tonight? This is how we're going to win in November: one donation, supporter, voter, and story at a time.

If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

The world is a scary place right now. But together, we can and will build a more hopeful, united future.
– Trudy
