Before heading to the US Senate, Young served for 6 years as a Congressman. He was tight with extreme GOP leadership back then and he remains a leading voice in the state Republican party. 

Unfortunately, nothing has changed. In fact, it’s only gotten worse. Todd Young and the rest of his GOP cronies are too extreme for Indiana, and they are too extreme to be making decisions at the federal level. 

Todd Young does not support the right to choose.

Todd Young does not believe in exceptions for the life of the mother, rape, and incest. 

Todd Young does not believe in keeping politicians out of your doctor’s office.

Mayor Tom McDermott understands that Hoosiers are sick and tired of politicians meddling with an individual's right to make healthcare decisions with their doctor. 

It is 2022 –– these rights have been settled law for over 50 years. Unlike Todd Young, Tom McDermott is willing to step up and do what is necessary to ensure a woman's right to choose, without any interference from the government.

It is well past time that the rights previously guaranteed in Roe vs. Wade are protected by federal law. Tom McDermott is the candidate committed to fighting for those rights.
