John,

It has only been a month since the Supreme Court overturned Roe, removing the constitutionally protected right to abortion. In that short time 11 states have banned or severely limited the procedure with more inevitably coming. [1]

One state – one zip code – that does not allow a person full control of their own body is too many. Help fight back.

Horrifyingly, beyond abortion access, we have seen and continue to see other reproductive health care jeopardized, limited, or becoming inaccessible, using abortion laws as a justification for denying people life-saving care for things like ectopic pregnancies and miscarriage management as well as ongoing treatment of diseases like lupus. [2]

A pharmacist’s personal beliefs should not interfere with anyone’s individual health care.

This is only going to get worse as anti-abortion activists become emboldened in their cruel mission and more brazen in their demands to control individual bodily autonomy. Their efforts are part of a deep history of stripping away rights and subjecting others to their personal religious beliefs, working within white supremacy, the gender binary, and a sexist, strictly defined gender hierarchy.

We won’t let them pretend otherwise.

Sincerely,

Erin Matson
Executive Director, Reproaction

P.S. Abortion is a human right.
