Today marks the 49th day on strike for ATU Local 689 bus drivers employed by Transdev at WMATA's Cinder Bed Road garage. So far Transdev has refused to bargain a fair contract but workers have stood strong in their demand for equal pay for equal work. WMATA has the power to end this impasse by pressuring their private contractor, Transdev to bargain a fair contract. Join us this Thursday as we pack the room for the WMATA Board of Directors Meeting and demand that WMATA stand with workers!
