Friends,

I just wanted to make sure you saw this.

With Roe v. Wade overturned, I took action with my colleagues in the House to protect the rights that the Supreme Court could be coming after next – including the right to contraception.

I voted to codify the right to contraception into law because people should be able to start their families on their own terms.

This is in addition to the bill we passed a few weeks ago to restore abortion rights nationwide, which still awaits action from the Senate.

There’s still a lot of work to do, but I’m focused on making sure that the only people who are involved in women’s health care decisions are women, their families, and their doctors – not the government.

I’ll be sure to keep you updated with the progress we’re making here in Congress.

Be well,

Cindy
