I don’t even want to think about what could’ve happened to us without this public assistance. SNAP was a bridge over troubled water and something I’m eternally grateful for.
I know how hard it is. That’s why I’m fighting as hard as I can against the Trump administration’s new rule that would rip SNAP benefits from 700,000 Americans -- just in time for the holidays.
It’s just despicable. I can’t even comprehend how someone can be so cruel. Make no mistake: this is about giving tax breaks to the wealthy while hundreds of thousands go hungry.
Everyone deserves to know where their next meal will come from. That’s why I’m a proud cosponsor of the Protect SNAP Act to prevent Trump from changing SNAP for the worse.
