I have been advocating for those who are homeless for at least nine years.

A few reasons why people are homeless.
·     Employed but do not earn enough money for rent
·     Medical debt
·     Fixed income is affected by climbing rents
·     Caught in a cycle of poverty; not able to get a job because they don’t have permanent housing
·     Substance abuse
·     Mental illness

We can stamp out homelessness and food insecurity with additional supportive housing, wrap around services and compassion.
