That's right.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee — led by none other than Alessandra's opponent Sean Patrick Maloney — and aligned organizations have spent this campaign cycle wasting tens of millions of dollars investing in far-right Republican candidates and their campaigns.
Rather than invest resources in working class champions from his own party, Sean Patrick Maloney has been gambling on GOP primaries in the hopes further-right candidates will be easier to beat in November.
This is dangerous.
It's the same line of thinking Democratic leadership had about Donald Trump just a few short years ago — and we all saw how that worked out.
Democratic leaders can't warn us of the grave threat right-wing radicals pose to our democracy while at the same time supporting them with millions in campaign cash.
This strategy is just the latest sign that we need new, bold leaders in Congress who will make investing in the working class of this country their only priority.
