Team, it's almost that time again. Washington's primary is in less than one week!
This people-powered team has pulled through for my campaign time and time again, but with so much at stake in the midterms, we can't slow down the fight for our democracy. I know it's been said a million times before, but there could not be more on the line this election year.
We are facing unprecedented attacks on our democracy, reproductive freedom, and LGBTQ+ rights. And the far-right Supreme Court has made it clear they're not going to stop state legislatures from enacting draconian and un-democratic restrictions on our civil rights. It's up to Congress to codify our fundamental rights to equality and freedom.
I proudly voted for a bill that will recognize same-sex marriage at the federal level and legislation that will enshrine Roe v. Wade into federal law. I also helped forward the Ensuring Access to Abortion Act to protect a patient's right to travel for legal abortions.
Team, ensuring we have the resources needed to get out the vote and continue running this campaign is the first step toward a future that puts the people first — not special interests or extremist politicians pushing to take away our freedoms.
