[ [link removed] ]Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Congress

Hi, it's Cori.

I'm personally writing to you today because we have exactly 6 days until
Missouri's August primary election, and I'm up against a well-funded,
corporate-backed challenge.

This race has become a litmus test for the strength of our movement for
Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, and the anti-racist agenda our
communities need — and special interests and far-right groups are spending
huge amounts of money to support my opponents.

I'm proud to have Alex's support in my race, but it's going to take a
widespread, grassroots effort to keep our movement in Congress.

That's why I have to ask: [ [link removed] ]Will you consider making a donation to fund
my people-powered campaign for transformative change today?

Alex and I have had each other's backs from the very beginning.

Justice Democrats first recruited us both to run for public office back in
2017. We met in Kentucky, quickly finding solidarity as sisters in
struggle fighting for our communities. Just a few months later, Alex
shocked the country, defeating the establishment and opening the door for
everyday people in Congress.

A few weeks later, we were talking about how she could help my campaign.
Alex was planning to come to the district when I was t-boned and hit by a
car. I was struggling to walk, but Alex still came to the district to help
me knock doors — literally putting her arm around me to help me go from
door-to-door. Her support meant the world to me. 💜

Two years later we were in Congress together. And, I’ll never forget when
we heard that Congress was adjourning and going on vacation after failing
to extend the housing eviction moratorium. It was just the two of us
standing out there and we knew we had to do something – so I asked her
what do you think about staying out on the steps and not going home?
Together, we led an action for five days and pressured the Biden
administration to take action.

I’m so proud to call Alex my sister-in-service. We both share common
struggles that inspire our work in Congress and together we’re determined
to deliver transformative change to our communities.

But first, we need to make sure Alex and I can continue fighting in
Congress. My corporate-backed opponent has the support of establishment
groups looking to replace our movement for transformative change with a
candidate who promises to uphold the status quo — along with the resources
of GOP super PACs. We need to ensure we have the resources to fight back
against their attacks in these final days and get our people-first message
out.

[ [link removed] ]Please, we still
have a lot of work ahead of us to deliver real change for MO-01. Will you
chip in to power my re-election campaign today so Alexandria and I can
keep organizing and legislating together in Congress?

Thank you for all of your support.

Cori
