This is it, John.
As of today, we only have 6 days left until the election.
Early voting has already begun and our corporate-backed opponent recently just dropped almost $100,000 on a TV ad falsely attacking Cori. Our team needs to organize harder than ever for the next 6 days to make sure voters know the stakes of this election so we can keep Cori in Congress.
That’s why we’re setting a goal to raise $200,000 until Election Day to make sure our campaign can reach as many voters as possible until the polls close.
John, here are 6 reasons why your donation means so much to us in this pivotal moment leading up to the election.
1. Cori doesn’t accept any donations from corporate PACs or special interests. Most members of Congress fund their re-elections through special interest donations — from the pharmaceutical industry, military contractors, even the gun lobby. Cori believes that our work in Congress should be people-powered so we rely on grassroots donations to fund this work.
2. Ever since Cori was elected to Congress, special interest groups, white supremacists, and the far-right have been furious at our movement’s work to save Black lives and deliver justice to our communities.
So now, they’re flooding our primary race with a HUGE amount of dark money in an attempt to replace Cori.
3. To fight back against this wave of dark money, our team is organizing harder than ever to spread the word about Cori’s primary and make sure voters mobilize to keep Cori in Congress. Every dollar we receive for the next 6 days will determine how many voters we can reach.
4. That’s why our campaign recently started running TV ads so we can get out the word about the election and Cori’s critical leadership. We’re relying on grassroots donations to keep our TV ads on air.
5. We need Cori’s leadership more than ever in light of attacks against abortion access. Cori was one of the first sitting members of Congress to share her abortion story in an effort to resist the GOP's attempts to restrict abortion access in America.
6. We can’t take anything for granted. In 2020, Cori pulled off a historic victory by only 3 points. This victory was made possible by supporters like you so we need to fight hard again to make sure Cori keeps her seat.
Together,
Team Cori
