Senate seat as they try to regain the majority, consider this: Sen. Susan
Collins is hosting a pricey fundraiser in DC to help Peter’s potential
Republican opponent, Christina Nolan.
Susan Collins’s current claim to fame, of course, is casting decisive
votes to confirm two of the right-wing Supreme Court justices who just
struck down Roe v Wade. It’s only fitting then that Nolan has said she
opposes Prop 5 to enshrine reproductive rights in Vermont’s constitution.
Nolan has said she views Susan Collins as a political role model, and
that’s enough reason to keep her as far from the Senate as possible. [ [link removed] ]If

This isn’t Susan Collins’s first time stumping for Peter’s potential GOP
opponent either—she was the
special guest at another fancy fundraiser in May, which was headlined by
the one and only Mitch McConnell.
The only explanation here is that Mitch McConnell wants another Susan
Collins in the Senate chamber to give him back the majority—and he thinks
he can flip this open seat in Vermont. We have far too much at stake for
him to become the Senate Majority Leader again, and that’s why we’ve got
to fight back right away.
