SAM's work leading the charge against marijuana legalization was just recognized by Senators on both sides of the aisle.
Yesterday, during a U.S. Senate hearing on marijuana legalization, Chairman Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Ranking Member Tom Cotton (R-AR) had the following exchange:
Ranking Member Cotton: "I’d also like to take a moment to recognize that we have several guests here today from the group Smart Approaches to Marijuana, which is a bipartisan organization founded to educate citizens on the science and research related to marijuana and marijuana policy. They do exceptional and thought-provoking work, and we’re glad to have them here today. I’d also like to ask consent to enter a written statement from their president, Dr. Kevin Sabet, into the record..."
Chairman Booker: "Is Dr. Kevin Sabet present today? Well, I want to thank, I want to join Senator Cotton in thanking the citizen activists for being here as well, and without objection, we will enter those for the record."
