[email protected] Leora Levy Wins Tuesday Night Debate Despite Collusion GREENWICH, CT - Tuesday evening the two campaigns for the Republican nomination in Connecticut were on full display at the only televised debate ahead of the primary election being held on August 9th. After several instances in which her opponents parroted one another’s false talking points, Leora Levy, a conservative outsider, alluded to collusion in her remarks both during and after the debate saying, “there may be three candidates, but only two campaigns in the race for U.S. Senate.” Here are several instances where it became evident the Klarides campaign has been colluding with the Lumaj campaign prior to last night’s heated performance. Parroting a talking point that has been publicly discussed by a government employee moonlighting as Klarides’ campaign manager, Lumaj claimed, “Levy donated to Blumenthal, now she wants to defeat Blumenthal.” Lumaj openly campaigned for Klarides saying, “The voters for the primary have a clear choice: center-left Themis Klarides or a true, unwavering conservative, which is Peter Lumaj.” Klarides admitted to working together with Lumaj regarding pointed attacks about 30-year old campaign donations, “I am privy to the same records that Mr. Lumaj has, we’ve seen the same thing.” Following Lumaj’s calls for a “cooling off period,” Levy was forwarded Lumaj’s campaign email by Klarides herself. Levy, a first-time candidate for federal office, won the debate when appealing to primary voters: According to Gary Rose, chairman of the Department of Government at Sacred Heart University, “... Levy demonstrated the most fire up there on stage that probably connected with most Republicans … This was very important for her to show voters she will fight … Levy was the more-passionate type of conservative.” ### About Leora I am running to take on the far-left whose policies will make our country look more like the Communist Cuba my family and I escaped in 1960 than the United States we have all known and loved. I am running for Senate to lead the fight for freedom. Joe Biden isn't on the ballot in November, but his policies are. The way to beat back Biden is to beat Dick Blumenthal, and I am the conservative candidate who can get it done.
