Folks, climate change is no longer an imminent threat. It’s here.

As each year goes by, temperatures continue to rise, and according to the New York Times, nearly a third of the country is currently facing excessive heat, further endangering American lives.

But it’s not just our health. Here’s what Rep. Katie Porter (CA-47) said about the wider threat of climate change:

Katie is right, but friends, let’s be clear: Bold legislation against the climate crisis is only going to become law if Democrats are in control of Congress.

No matter what climate bill Democrats put forth, a majority of Republicans continue to block them.

Climate change affects everyone, regardless of your political affiliation. Republicans running for Congress do not have a plan on how to protect our country which is why it is so important to ensure climate champions like Rep. Porter go back to Congress next year, and continue pushing for bold action. Will you help Katie fight the climate crisis by making a contribution today?
