Land Back flag

Dear Green American,

The true cost of hundreds of years of racism against Native tribes cannot be measured in dollars alone.

A major cause of harms to Native tribes in the US and Indigenous peoples around the world is the theft of their lands. The return of those lands is a moral imperative.

It would also bring economic and environmental benefits to Native communities and benefit the country as a whole.

Today's email is the second in a series from our summer Green American magazine where we investigate the Land Back movement from an economic standpoint.

Read how Native lands being managed by Native hands, using historical, holistic practices, could save billions across the world.

The snowball of returning lands is rolling, but we need it to become an avalanche.

Fighting for justice for all communities and opening our minds to unlearning harmful beliefs can propel us forward to a world built on thriving communities and care.

Because together we rise.

Find more stories and strategies for dismantling racism in the full issue "Divided, We Fall."
